Born and raised on the Prairies, Jeff Bright is a Calgary based business lawyer and former partner in national law firms, called to the Alberta bar in 2003.

Jeff advises a wide range of clients on business law issues, with a special interest in private and smaller public companies in the energy and technology industries but also including many owner operated and private businesses in other industries, from engineering and property development to entertainment. He has assisted his clients with start-up and throughout their development and operation, including corporate structure and governance, financing, intellectual property protection and M&A.

Jeff has extensive experience with corporate transactions through a wide range of asset and share sales, and with many types of commercial agreements including standard energy related agreements, partnership and limited partnership agreements, consulting agreements for consultants and principals, unanimous shareholder agreements and related corporate matters, and license, development and distribution agreements.

Jeff was also corporate counsel for a Calgary based multinational where he handled major acquisitions, global anti-corruption, corporate policies, and numerous operational departments.

Drawing on an extensive network of contacts, Jeff is able to facilitate the efficient handling of any legal issue that arises for his clients and can recruit additional expertise suited to the task.
